I recently received an email asking me how to get a high Google website ranking fast. The question was asked by a person who was just starting to embark on an affiliate marketing business. My response to a high Google ranking position is to do the following:
- Find the right keywords for your product that have less competition. If you do a search for your keywords with inverted commas, the search results should not be more than 7,000. With such a low search count, you can optimize your website to climb high on the Google rankings. When done right, even a top 10 Google ranking is possible.
- Set up a website using WordPress. Google love WordPress and using this platform can assist you in getting a high Google website ranking position. I have tried using normal websites but they seem to take ages to be noticed by Google spiders. With WordPress, my sites get indexed within 2 weeks. It is also faster to set up a page with WordPress with all the plug-ins ready for use. Set it up like a real website with the About Me page, Contact page, and archives in the right places for the spiders to notice.
- Keep adding content with the right keyword placements. Do not stuff your content with the same keywords but use LSI keywords and write with a natural flow. Although getting a high Google ranking is important, it is more important that your readers understand your message and not be irritated by sentences fused with repeated words.
- Build backlinks to help pull your website up the Google rankings. Writing articles on the relevant subject twice a week and submitting them to article directories consistently is a great strategy. Joining forums is also a great way to build backlinks when you include your links after each posting.
This is just the basic steps you can take to get indexed fast by Google and get a high Google website ranking. Once indexed, you can improve your website ranking by tweaking, adding more content with the right keywords and building on your backlinks.
